IN THE NEWS

After many months of conversations, The City of Belmont, has received funding from Governor Justice, thru Senator Mike Azinger and the Local Economic Development Assistance Grant to start building a community/emergency shelter.  Letters, meetings, and conversations with many state representatives have taken place over the last year with Mayor Barnes trying to secure funds to build a community/emergency shelter for the City of Belmont.  Finally on December 12,2022 Mike Azinger came to City Hall and delivered a check from Governor Justice in the amount of 20,000 to Mayor Barnes. This 20,000 will help with the start of the community/emergency shelter for Belmont.
