The City of Belmont has many services that keep it operating. City Hall which is located on the corner of Third and Main Street, houses council chambers, and the offices of the mayor, city recorder, and city clerk.

The city recorder's office keeps minutes of council meetings, ordinances, resolutions, prepares, distributes and maintains city budgets and financial statements, prepares elections, and maintains official records for the city.
